God

……...loves you. Fact.

No matter where you are in your life or how you feel, God loves you. But He also set a standard for us to live by. And He wrote it down, it’s called the Bible.

Sin

……...affects all of us. Fact.

All of us, no matter how good we think we are, have fallen short of this standard. That is called sin, and the price we pay for sin is separation from God and the loving relationship He intended for us to share with Him.

This separation could last all of our life……...and after.

If it wasn’t for Jesus that is.

Jesus

……….loves you and died for you. Fact.

Jesus lived a perfect life to God’s required standard and had no need  to be separated from God.

But because He loved you so much, Jesus, God’s own Son gave His life as a sacrifice for your sin and paid the price to remove your separation from God. By dying on a cross and being raised to life three days later.

Because He loves you.

You

……...are loved. Fact.

By God, by Jesus and by all of us at Long Lane Church.

But to know the true power of this love you’ll need to ask Jesus into your life. And turn away from your old life.

You can pray a simple prayer and ask God into your life right now:

Dear God,

I know that I have not lived up to your standards and my sin has separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and I want to turn away from my past life and follow You.

Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that Your son, Jesus died for my sin, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer.

I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life.

In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

If you prayed this prayer and meant it then you are a Christian. Fact

The important thing now is to tell someone, a friend, family member or even someone in a church close to you. Click here and tell us!

Better still come and visit us, we’d love to see you.
