Long Lane Church is an independent evangelical church located at the end of Long Lane, Garston in the south of Liverpool. We are very much a family church, committed to worship, fellowship, prayer and the breaking of bread in an informal, friendly atmosphere.

how we are set up
Pastor
The Pastor is responsible for leading the spiritual, pastoral and teaching ministry at the church to the individual, the congregation and the community. The Pastor is Nick Johnson.
elders
Along with the pastor the elders form the leadership team for the church and are responsible for the Spiritual Life of the Church and it's members. Their main responsibilities are for teaching, worship, development, encouragement, discipline and implementing strategies to fulfil the Mission of the Church. They are responsible for the support, care and encouragement of its members and to provide spiritual protection, guidance and godly leadership. The current Elders are; David Clark, Robert Cole, Graham Hyde & Bill Jones.
trustees
The trustees are legally responsible for the Church building and its use, the terms of the Trust is modelled on 'The Western Counties and South Wales Evangelisation Trust'. The main responsibilities of the Trustees are for the major maintenance, development and insurance of the building structure. The current Trustees are; Alistair Sunderland (Secretary), Bill Jones (Chairman) Brian Cowen, Alan Kneale, Peter Morris, Andy Smith, Steve Taylor and John Vernon.
deacons
The Deacons are responsible for the practical day-to-day operation and maintenance of the Church facilities. These include security, cleaning, routine maintenance and minor improvements. The current Deacons are; Alan Kneale, Chris Peck, Glenys Sunderland, Bob Rushton, Norma Chadwick, Brenda & Steve Taylor.
church treasurers
The Treasurers are Deacons with the special responsibility for the management of the Church Finances and the publication of annual audited Church Accounts. The current Treasurers are; Alan and Joan Kneale
missionary secretaries
The Missionary Secretaries are responsible for the contact with organisations and individuals involved in mission supported by the Church and encouraging Church members in their financial and prayerful support. The current Missionary Secretaries are Jeff and Cathy Bond.
